NYC’s SampleLogic Announces Cinematic Guitars Library

Brooklyn-based sample library developer, Sample Logic — makers of Morphestra — has announced the imminent release of Cinematic Guitars, a new collection of morphed guitar instruments harnessed in a “core effects sequencer” engine powered by the Native Instruments Kontakt Player.

Sample Logic's Cinematic Guitars library ships 9/15

Derived from electric and acoustic guitar recordings by Guitar Hero series guitarist and composer Steve Ouimette, Cinematic Guitars is an extensive collection of unique atmospheres, instrumentals, and percussives — over 1,000 instruments and multis, starting with “bizarre, dark, euphoric, spiritual, electronic sounds and going far beyond.”

Using the “core effects sequencer” designed by Sample Logic and built into the Kontakt engine, Cinematic Guitars also allows for creating and manipulating custom instruments.

Geared for film, TV, game, and electronic composers, Cinematic Guitars contains over 1,000 instruments and multis recorded and processed at 48k/24 bit, delivered at 44.1k/24-bit. Instruments include the following:

– Atmosphere/ambient soundscapes and stinger construction kits

– Morphed guitars, synths, and pads

– Melodic and percussive tempo-synced loops

sponsored

– Melodic and percussive arpeggiated/gated instruments

– Percussive impacts, big hit ensembles, and kits

– Swipes, scrapes, and reverse transitional effects

The library also includes “performance-ready” and over 125 “score-ready” multis. Additional multis included in Cinematic Guitars were created by award-winning TV and video game composers including Bill Brown (CSI NY, Wolfenstein, Rainbow Six), Jesper Kyd (Assassins Creed I & II, Unreal Tournament, Splinter Cell), Trevor Morris (The Tutors, The Hills Have Eyes II, Pirates Of The Caribbean II), Deane Ogden (Hit List, The Way Home, Surrogates), Atli Örvarsson (Vantage Point, Babylon AD, The Fourth Kind), Chad Seiter (Fringe Season 1, LucasArts’ Fracture, LOST: Via Domus, UP [VG]), and Steve Tavaglione (Performer & Sound Designer; CSI: Las Vegas & New York, Finding Nemo, Wall-E)

Cinematic Guitars starts shipping on September 15, 2010. For more information and to pre-order ($399), visit http://www.samplelogic.com/cinematicguitars.html.
