Riptide Music Group Born Out of Riptide / Pigfactory Merger
Riptide Music and Pigfactory — two well-known Los Angeles-based sync licensing and publishing companies — have merged, and will now be doing business under the name Riptide Music Group, LLC.
Riptide Music Group specializes in the worldwide synchronization of music for film, television, film trailers, advertising, video games, and in the international collection of publishing royalties. The company boasts an “advanced digital accounting, administration and distribution system” to represent its clients’ music catalogs and copyrights globally. Recent licensing credits include Breaking Bad, The Wolf of Wall Street, BMW and Call Of Duty: Black Ops. The company’s roster includes songs by Fatboy Slim, Iggy Pop, The Turtles, Black Eyed Peas and Airborne Toxic Event.

Said RMG president Rich Goldman: “There is a real need for a publishing administration company with an equally strong focus on proactive sync and worldwide royalty collection.”
The company will be divided into three operating units, according to the press announcement:
Riptide Rights oversees master and publishing rights for both administration and sync representation.
