Score a Score Increases Footprint with New NYC Office

An innovator in music production, licensing and music supervision has just carved out a bigger footprint for itself.

LA-based Score a Score (SAS) has become more bicoastal than ever by expanding into New York City. This is the company’s second East Coast office, following the opening of their Boston branch in 2017.

Music licensing pro Brady Willis is heading up the new NYC presence for Score a Score.

The NYC office will be overseen by Brady Willis, who has joined SAS as Creative Manager + Business Development. Prior to joining SAS, Willis was Senior Director, Commercial Licensing at Premier Music Group/Downtown Records where she worked on campaigns for many top brands including Apple Watch (featuring Electric Guest), Starbucks (featuring Tkay Maidza) and Nike (featuring White Denim). Brady was previously Creative, Licensing & Publishing Manager for Zync Music.

“The rapid growth of new media has resulted in an explosion of content, and in turn, an explosion of opportunities for music,” says Jake Weinreb, COO of SAS, on the current licensing and original music landscape. “Though we’ve seen budgets shrinking overall as a result, there’s a growing opportunity for high volume, direct-to-brand content and OTT entertainment.

“Score a Score more than doubled NYC revenues in 2018, and we see even more potential for exponential growth in 2019,” he continues. “We feel we’re ideally positioned to adapt to the evolving marketplace by offering a low barrier to entry for clients, flexibility on deal terms and by never compromising our music quality.”

The company was founded in 2010 by Jordan Passman and offers strategic, simplified solutions for original music, licensing and music supervision. Score a Score has been featured on the Inc. 5000 list for three consecutive years, winning multiple industry awards including Cannes Lions, Clios and D&AD Pencils.

Their work includes branded campaigns for Google, Microsoft, Verizon, Coca-Cola, Taco Bell, Volkswagen, Gap, and Allstate;  trailers for Incredibles 2VenomDaredevilGirl In the Spider’s Web, and Star Wars; and music supervision for Chef’s Table (Netflix), Best Shot (YouTube Premium), The Price of Free (Participant Media – winner of Best Documentary and Sundance 2018), and upcoming series for Amazon, Netflix, TBS and more.
