Sound Radix Announces SurferEQ 2 Plug-In

Sound Radix has released SurferEQ 2 – Hang ten from frequency to frequency with SurferEQ 2’s automatic pitch-tracking capabilities.

SurferEQ got a facelift.

SurferEQ got a facelift — and more.

Built off of their original SurferEQ plug-in, SurferEQ 2 includes additional functionality, improved performance, and updated GUI. Maintaining the same concept of automatically adjusting EQ settings based on pitch changes from monophonic instruments, and vocals, SurferEQ 2 now allows users to get creative with harmonic filter modes.

Functionality of the plug-in has been improved for better latency during processing including a live mode with zero latency. Better performance is the result of Sound Radix’s filter banks. Their customized analog modeling allows harder drive, with less digital artifacts.

Here is a list of all new features in version 2:

  • Side-Chain input: Makes it possible to use pitch from another track to process polyphonic audio tracks to make “space” in the mix.
  • Spectral Gate (normal and reversed): Allows engaging or disengaging the EQ when the input level crosses a set threshold level.
  • Live mode with zero latency
  • Four new and extremely creative Harmonic Filter modes
  • Morphing filters
  • Surf time control: Allows setting the speed at which SurferEQ will “Surf” from one note to another.
  • HP and LP Surf-Freq limit: Allows setting a limit to the high- and low-pass filters when Surfing.
  • Undo/redo
  • Added PACE iLok for protection and easy mobility
  • Completely re-designed, retina-compatible and OpenGL optimized vector graphics UI
  • Spectral Level Meters
  • Frequency analyze

The SurferEQ 2 is available now for an intro price of $129 ($199 MSRP).
