The Deli “Bands with DIY Instruments” CMJ Showcase Tonight

Last night’s stellar Deli Magazine showcase at Brooklyn Bowl featured big electro-rock sounds from Oberhofer, Keepaway, Brahms and Bear Hands. Tonight at The Living Room, The Deli’s serving up a different flavor of DIY sound.

At 7, swing in to catch a set by Matthew Steinke aka Octant, an artist/mad scientist who builds his own robot bandmates, and plays a variety of homemade instruments.

And stay for another must-see Buke & Gass at 7:45, the inventive Brooklyn indie-rock duo who build all of the instruments they play.
