Vintage King Showcases New Custom Series 75 Console at AES NYC

Vintage King Audio, in conjunction with Studios 301 Manufacturing, will showcase the new Custom Series 75 Console at the upcoming NYC AES Convention (Oct 21-23).

Custom Series 75 Console

Vintage King’s Alex Oana and Custom Series 75’s Chief engineer Bruce McBean will lead the hands-on demonstrations of the console (schedule below). Participants may mix on the console using provided multi-track recordings.

The Custom Series 75 is assembled, tested and serviced out of  Neve Manufacturing Australia – a custom shop of AMS Neve manufacturing established in 2006 by the owner of AMS Neve, Tom Misner.

The features and concept of this console were designed by Misner and engineers from Neve, Studios 301 and “a massive amount of input from various industry professionals.” All components are genuine AMS Neve components sourced from the very same suppliers and in many instances directly from AMS Neve.

According to the manufacturer…

“The Custom Series 75 has achieved a world first: the combination of classic circuitry and modern circuitry in one console. The classic Neve circuitry has been painstakingly re-created, keeping faithful to the original whilst taking advantage of modern assembly methods. The original circuits have only been changed where justified by an improvement in reliability or performance.

Wholly designed with longevity in mind, the console’s two stereo busses allow for maximum flexibility and the 2081 in-line channel modules feature a blend of the best features of Neve’s legendary 1073 and 1081 modules. Two 2254 compressors, four stereo reverb returns, eight recallable scenes, monitoring of up to 12 sources simultaneously and comprehensive 7.1 monitoring are just some of the features found in the master section.
