XILS-lab Releases R.A.M.S.E.S. Rhythm and Motion Multi-Effect Plug-In

Rhythm And Motion Stereo Engine System (R.A.M.S.E.S.) comes to us from soft-synth pros XILS-lab. The new multi-effect plugin can completely reshape an audio source by targeting specific sections using XILS-lab’s ‘mask’ system that basically works like an advanced step sequencer.

These masks can reshape, re-filter and re-envelope anything under the mask that can add or take away stereo depth and space. While many users will find this feature alone extremely useful, the plugin also comes with a TON of other interesting features to add even more use.

R.A.M.S.E.S. is available now for discounted $81 ($109 MSRP) until January 1, 2014. The multi-effect plugin is available for Mac and PC in AAX, RTAS, AU and VST2.4 formats as 32 or 64-bit options.

What are the Masks ?

Mask can be seen as advanced StepSequencers, with the main difference that the length and time position of each step/Mask is completely FREE.

Intermodulations and depth in programming

A simple example : In R.A.M.S.E.S., each Mask-Step can retrigg one LFO, while this LFO can control the Decay of the filter envelope, and the filter CutOff as well. You could still control the output level of this LFO with the Mod Wheel, while controlling it’s rate with the Pitch Bend. Etc Etc. That’s how deep you can go.
