ASCAP, RightsFlow Partner with Limelight Licensing Service Offering

Performing rights organization ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), and licensing/rolalty service provider RightsFlow, both NYC-based, announced they have entered into a partnership to offer mechanical licensing services to ASCAP’s songwriter, composer and publisher members – nearly 400,000 in total — through RightsFlow’s Limelight online utility.

Rightsflow and ASCAP have partnered in an offering of Limelight.

ASCAP members will receive a 25% discount on Limelight service fees. Limelight provides artists, bands and record labels with a simple way to clear cover songs and secure mechanical licenses for physical releases, digital downloads, ringtones and interactive streaming.

The online service was created to reduce the complexity of licensing with domestic and international publishers while also ensuring that songwriters and publishers are paid 100% of royalties due.
