NYC Event Alert: Brooklyn Synth Expo and Stompbox Exhibit – June 8-9

Dig upon peanut butter cups? Then consider the following a sonic taste sensation to rock you two times over.

Hit the Brooklyn Synth Expo and Stompbox Exhibit! Where else but Brooklyn? June 8-9.

That’s right, two beloved happenings have become one, with the convergence that is the Brooklyn Synth Expo and Stompbox Exhibit. These were originally two separate, in-the-headphones events for musicians organized by local music ‘zine The Deli. But after witnessing a growing affinity between the synth and guitar pedal formats, the organizers in 2018 unified them under one big umbrella: the Synth and Pedal Expo, which brought a record number of 2,500 visitors to an art gallery in Bushwick.

This year’s event takes place June 8-9 (12-7 PM on Saturday, 11-6 on Sunday), at Lytehouse Studios, 356 Devoe Street, Brooklyn, NY. Attendance is free but you must RSVP.

For the first time, the expo will feature a series of presentations and workshops in an adjacent room (schedule here), including a live performance of multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Lisa Bella Donna on Saturday at 6.30pm.

This year’s show features 80+ vendors and over 500 devices to play with, plus a growing presence of Eurorack and Virtual Synth manufacturers, along with a great selection of vintage synths.

As usual, there will be plenty of deals on synth and pedals with discounts up to 30%, and also the opportunity to sell and exchange synths through the presence of legendary New Jersey synth store Three Wave Music.

See you amongst the synths! And the PEDALS!!!!!!!!
